Set Reasonable Goals by Lisa Weseman - posted on November 25, 2009 at 5:30 pm

The cornerstone of a healthy life is taking responsibility for your own happiness rather than blaming someone else. By setting reasonable expectations for those around you, you can manage how you react to situations and minimize disappointment. This applies to all of your relationships — not just with your lovers.
With FamilyFamily relationships are notoriously sticky. You’ve known your family your whole life, yet chances are, you’re continually disappointed by the same things over and over again. Rather than setting yourself up for pain and frustration, try to understand how your loved ones will behave — and don’t expect anything else from them. If you know your sister always forgets your birthday, don’t get your hopes up that this year, she’ll finally remember.
It’s okay to express your hurt when someone disappoints, especially if you can find a healthy, non-threatening way to share your feelings. But don’t expect things to change. You can’t control what someone else says or does, but you can always control how you react. Managing your expectations will allow you to bounce back from hurt and be more forgiving.
At Work Most people want to believe that if they do their best and work hard, they’ll eventually be rewarded. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Sometimes you have a bad boss who’d rather point out your flaws then encourage your strengths. Or you’re assigned a partner who takes credit for all the work you’ve done. Or you’re employed by a corrupt company that overworks and underpays you.
If your situation is bad enough, you should make a move to a better job. But if that’s not possible, you’ll have suck up your unhappiness and try to make the most of your days. The best way to manage your expectations at work is to remember that it’s just a job. Do your best to keep the way you’re treated at work separate from your personal identify and self-worth. Make an effort to leave your stresses and frustrations at work instead of bringing them home and allowing them to affect your personal life. Remember, you work so that you can live, not the other way around.
In LoveFrom the moment you meet someone, there are a thousand different opportunities to have your heart broken — usually because he doesn’t live up to the ideal you have in your head. Women tend to have strong expectations for what a partner should be like, and when a man inevitably falls short, they end up disappointed.
The best way to avoid disappointment in romance is to adjust your expectation for each stage of the relationship. If you meet a great guy and he asks for your phone number, don’t start planning the wedding. Considering the number of men who don’t call when they say they will, it’s reasonable to say there’s 50/50 chance a guy will call. This type of thinking allows you to be less attached to the outcome: if he calls, great

9 INSIGHTS - from Celestine Prophecy

"Look not from the mind, but from the soul. For the life that is coming already before us, waiting pen the world. Just look more closely. Find the eyes to see." - from 1st insight

#1 - We are discovering again that we live in a deeply mysterious world, full of sudden coincidences and sychronistic encounters that seem destined.

#2 - As more of us awaken to this mystery, we will create a completely new worldview-redefining the universe as energetic and sacred.

#3 - We will discover that everything around us, all matter, consists of and stems from a divine energy that we are beginning to see and understand.

#4 - From this perspective, we can see that humans have always felt insecure and disconnected from this sacred source, and have tried to take energy by dominating each other. This struggle is responsible for all human conflict.

#5 - The only solution is to cultivate a personal connectin with the divine, a mystical transformation that fills us with unlimited energy and love, extends our perception of beauty, and lifts us into a Higher Self-awareness.

#6 - In this awareness, we can release our own pattern in controlling and discover a specific truth, a mission, we are here to share that helps evolve humanity toward this new level of reality.

#7 - In pursuit of this mission, we can discover an inner intuition that shows us where to go and what to do, and if we make only positive interpretatins, bring a flow of coincidences that opens the doors for our mission to unfold.

#8 - When enough of us enter this revolutionary flow always giving energy to the higher self of everyone we meet, we will build a new culture where our bodies evolve to ever higher levels of energy and perception.

#9 - In this way, we participate in the long journey of evolution from the Big Bang of life's ultimate goal: to energize our bodies, generation by generation, until we walk into a heaven we can finally see.

Law of Attraction

What's not to attract? There are too many...it could be positive or negative...but which one weighs more...
For the last 30 days my story goes like this.....Mid March when I came into a decision to withdraw my case for child custody. I thought my relationship is only going to go this far. But, I prayed each day to see the light at the end of the tunnel...Slowly, I started attracting my wishes. I wish to stand on my two feet and able to close my case owing 2K.  But that didn't stopped me from wishing although, the money is tight. I was blessed with sum amount of tax refund. I felt much better. The next thing I know, my partner asked me for a last chance to work our dysfunction relationship. It takes two to tango and having the same goal and faith will help both of us regain trust and love again. I can see getting close to the end of the tunnel...and keep attracting the law of universe which is to dream...attract what you want to happen...now or never. We decide to look for an apartment...a place that we can call home. Then, we realized that if we invest our money in liabilities we will not gain anything. Just by luck, we happen to go to an open house just down at Kingston Road. We both didn't think we will be eligible to be a buyer since my partner just started a new job and I am in the process of repairing my credit. After two, three times of trying to get a mortgage...still no luck...but I felt that the universe just heard us...keep believing in the law of attraction. Then, my mom recommended her financial advisor from one of the most known bank institution in Ontario. Our agent didn't stop believing in us...didn't even turn his back to us although our situation of getting mortgage is tough, then we finally found the right man who will answer our prayers...The bank pre-approved us but with tough conditions...we are having difficulty meeting the conditions...because in less than a month...we have to come up with a 15% downpayment. It all started from 5%, 10% but my partner's income is not enough so we needed a higher downpayment to be qualified with the CMHC requirements. However, there's still a problem from previous issue with Rogers outstanding account. My partner took the bill for granted for the last 5 years but just May last year of May 2010, I convinced him to pay and settle it because for sure it will affect his credit score later on when he decide to buy a house. Yes it did, but he resolved the issue before hand. After calling Fido, Rogers, Collection agency here and there...still no luck. We just have one week left to collect all our funds, and submit our documents, there are still problems arising. The bank won't accept the final bill from fido because it does not comply with the CMHC condition. After hearingbad news from our financial advisor...a few days left before closing...nothing seemed to work out but at the end...finally,thank God I got through the collection agency and the next thing you know, they have provided my partner a release letter saying that he is not owing any money from Rogers...we only have few days left in closing the deal. Our mortgage approval needs to be release today but our financial advisor was off ...we are hoping to keep things going by Saturday and latest Monday...Tuesday is the closing day and we will be have first HOME. The law of attraction works.....and here I am thinking, what could be my life like if I took the other direction. Godspeed!

Just Pray

In the past two weeks, I created a new dilemma. Dilemma means, D-decision, I-imperfection, L-love, E-excitement, M-materials, M-motivation and A-acceptance. My dilemma represents both positive and negative impact in my life.

I've been feeling unwell and struggling with my day to day routine. But, this sickness did not stop me from being responsible. At work, I was swamped with projects but I maintain to keep a to do list in order to meet deadlines. I just prayed that God will me strength  at work to be able to perform in my best abilities. For school midterm test preparations, I just prayed that God will gave me knowledge and capabilities to absorb what I have studied although I was not as confident in using my smart studying technique. In this case, I just say to the Lord, if this is for me, then you will find a way to let me pass my courses this semester. At home, there are miscommunication and hot air balloon with my family but I just prayed that whatever triggers our mind, God will take care of the rest. At this point in time, I admit that my relationship status is complicated but I just prayed that He will give me signs to know where my love life is heading to.

Today, I reached the edge of prayers. In everything I do, despite I was sick, busy with work, family and other things, I still give time to pray even to the point I fall asleep unconsciously. In my heart, I strongly believe in God that all my prayers will be answered according to His will. This way, it will make my life a little bit easier.
Of course, I am worried with all the things I do whether I answered my tests right, or am I performing effectively at work or am I managing my finances properly. All these doubts and negative thoughts were the rivalry of prayers. Only my faith and prayers can save me from my fears and weakness. That's why, just praying for everything that I wish to happen gave me security.

I recommend that, as human, whoever you are, whatever you do, don't worry and just pray. All the answers to its reasons will come on its way.  "I have heard yur prayers and seen your tears; I will heal you." (2nd Kings 20:5.)

Smart Studying

The month of February means the Midterm month for me. Having midterm one after another was nerve rocking. But again, being a student, it's a common phenomenon.

What I've learned lately is not to study hard but to study smart. Studying smart means understanding the meaning/concepts of a subject. This way it's easier for me to register all the information that I've read
rather than memorizing everything which can possibly lead to black out or brain fart during the test schedule.

Today, I felt that I have accomplished something about my smart studying but it is still advisable to do some readings ahead of time so that it's not too much information to remember. This new technique helped me manage my time studying wisely.

Time is Gold

My day start with a plan...
Plan A is to go to my dentist. It took 3 hours to do some repair & fillings but I feel good to see the results. I can SMILE for the rest of the day.

Plan B is to see an advisor. Someone who can help me rediscover myself again and regain all the best qualities that I already have in me.

Plan C is to see my family doctor. This is only to ensure that I continue to stay healthy.

Plan D is to pick up some groceries for my little Emma.

Having multiple appointments made me skip my lunch and feel so exhausted at the end of the day. At the same time, traffic was bad and I fell asleep for 2 mins twice during my DVP drive. Thank God, I came home in one peace & still ALIVE.

God is always there to protect and watch me over. But despite of my hustle & bustle, my day went according to plan.

This what I call Time is Gold.
